Mercedes 280 SL California Automatic from privat collection!
Beautiful MB 280 SL in rare California version, so with hardtop, without softtop. This car was with the same owner for 20 years! Originaly delivered in the United States, the car than came to Madrid (Spain) and finally to Germany in 1996. The car has been repainted 10 years ago. The car was also completely overhauled technically, whereby a lot of components were renewed or refurbished. Since then, the car has been stored in a dry, climatised room and has only been driven occasionally to events.
As far as known, and confirmed by the German Classic data valuation report from 2015, the car is accident free and has not been welded upon! The original frontfender weldingpoints as well as the foldings at the headlight fender junctions are present. All the seams at the doors, trunk etc are fine!
The car has matching numbers chassis and motor, confirmed by the Mercedes Benz Datacard. In 2015, the car has gotten new Vredestein Classic Sprint tyres as well as new seals between motor and gearbox, the oil sparplugs and several other things are renewed.
In other words a beautifull car, in a perfect colour setting! The German Classic Data evaluation report from 2015 gives a 2- rating. Rating 2 cars are worth € 89.000 at this moment, and prices are rising.
